At 2 steps from the Rivoli Street and the City Hall, “Le Pas Sage Obligé” is a newcomer to the wonderful Marais district and is already always full! Lounge and relaxed mind at a time, this restaurant with vegetarian and vegan specialities welcomes you in a warm and lively!
The menu changes with the seasons and arrivals. I’ve tasted a delicious gazpacho and olive tapenade (€ 4.90). Lover of foie gras and gizzard, you will fall for the « Salade folle » (€ 9.50).
Main course, treat yourself to their vegan specialties such as roasted forest mushrooms (€ 14.50), like a good hearty steak, but most surprising! You always crack a Burger? In the original version, try the « Salmon Burger » (13 €), a tenderly cooked salmon fillet, seasoned with lemon sauce and creamy, delicately placed on a slice of bread lightly toasted brioche and covered with a potato galette crunchy! mmm!
No panic for carnivores, you will hesitate between the authentic steak with caramelized shallots and new potatoes (€ 19.50) or the Mediterranean tartar … And because all the dishes on the menu are really cheap (entrance between 4 and € 9, main courses 11 to € 19), it was necessary to add salt on the bill a little more … we got a delicious wine from Saint Emilion 2004 for € 29! Yes! One of the most expensive of the menu! (wines between 17 and 39 €)
Summing up: a restaurant with creative and inventive cuisine in the heart of the Marais, cheap, with a warm reception… I advise you to book before you go!
